PVRFC Committee Positions 23/24 Season

CLUB HISTORY

The club was formed in 1992 for a charity fundraising event associated with Pewsey Carnival. The club started by playing friendly matches using local school pitches and then developed into a club affiliated with the RFU.

The club moved to its current venue, the Angela Yeates Memorial Sports Ground in 2002. PVRFC has a long-term lease until 2033 granted by the Parish Council. The council has recently agreed that this lease can be extended to 2047.

The club has a senior team playing in Counties 2 Tribute Dorset and Wiltshire North and is looking to develop a youth side.

The club plans to expand the senior and junior sections as well as introduce an over 55 walking rugby section. Furthermore, the club plans to develop links with local sporting clubs that lack facilities, particularly the local running and cricket clubs.

Club Structure

The club is established as a company limited by guarantee. It is managed by formally appointed directors who have significant experience in the management of limited liability companies. The day-to-day running of the club is brought about by a committee of volunteers.
