Club History

The club was formed in 1992 for a charity fund raising event associated with Pewsey Carnival. The club started by playing friendly matches using local school pitches and then developed into a club affiliated with the RFU.

The club moved to its current venue, the Angela Yeates Memorial Sports Ground in 2002. PVRFC have a long-term lease until 2033 granted by the Parish council. The council have recently agreed that this lease can be extended to 2047.

The club has a senior team playing in Dorset & Wilts 2 North Division and has a thriving junior section.

The club plans to expand the senior and junior sections as well as introduce an over 55 walking rugby section. Furthermore the club plans to develop links with local sporting clubs who lack facilities particularly the local running and cricket clubs.

Mission Statement

Pewsey Vale RFC aim to provide the highest quality of rugby football within a friendly and inclusive environment. The club plans to provide an inclusive sports and social facility which will be of benefit to the whole community.

PVRFC Club Structure

The club is established as a company limited by guarantee. It is managed by formally appointed directors who have significant experience is the management of limited liability companies. The day to day running of the club is brought about by a committee of volunteers.
